Ohio offers fishing opportunities for big walleye, monster smallmouth bass, crappie, and other sport fishes. With major Lake Erie on its northern border and other big lakes, in addition to its reservoirs as well as small ponds and streams, Ohio provides a day on the water for some great fishing. Ohio also offers ice fishing during winter months. Small-mouth bass, walleye, crappie, panfish and stripers are all plentiful while trout is harder to find.
